Welding Supplies Direct's trainers are members of the British Compressed Gas Association and all our training programmes are written and updated regularly to meet their requirements and current codes of practice.
Our trainer will visit you or your company at your given location on a day convenient to you and our training staff.
This course is for a maximum of 6 people.
Once the course is booked on this website, our trainer will contact your company to arrange a convenient date to both parties.
Course Summary
HAZARDOUS PROPERTIES OF GASES
This covers the individual properties of the gases used by your company.
GAS PRODUCTION
How the gases you use are produced.
GAS/CYLINDER HAZARDS
The hazards of gas cylinder misuse.
CYLINDER IDENTIFICATION
In line with the new EN1089-3 regulations on cylinder colour coding we cover all aspects of this fully.
GENERAL CYLINDER HANDLING
- Basic cylinder handling
- Asphyxiation hazards
- Safe cylinder storage
- Cylinders in fires
- Lighting and closing down cylinders
This course is approximately 4 - 5 hours in length and our facility requirements are a room with a 240v supply.
Part of the course is a laptop based presentation and we can if required supply a projector, this will be fully discussed when our trainer contacts you.
Certification
Certification can be provided for each course member should this be required, this is charged at ·25 for each certificate issued. When booking this course (above right), please specify how many certificates you require.
